Agape.
A Greek word for love. Specifically the unconditional love that God has for His children. A kind of love that not only is a passionate outpouring of emotion, but one that is faithful, full of commitment, and has sacrifice. It is an altruistic, other-centric, undeserving, gracious love. It is more than mere emotion, but a choice.
God is agape.
Agape love will not be lessened or retracted for any reason. No matter what you do to push away from it, agape remains the same solid foundation of love that God stands on, and pours out for every single person. Whether your back is turned towards Him, or you have been walking with Christ for decades - the all encompassing love He has for you has never wavered.
Imagine the amount of love your mother has for you, or that you have for your spouse - think of the one person who you know loves you more than anything, or the person you love more than anything. It's a lot. It is caring, adoring, patient, tender, selfless, and sacrificial - but it is incomparable to God's love for you. We, as humans, cannot comprehend the severity of the love God has for His creation. He loves you so much that He sacrificed His own son. God wants you to be with Him so badly that He took on sin and death.
Abundantly. In large quantities, plentiful, extremely.
Take this profound love where everyone gets this overwhelming amount of affection in which they are known wholly and dearly - personally, individually. There is so so much ready to be given to you, an immense amount! God is just waiting for you to accept it, to love and accept Him.
Abundantly Agape.
Hi! My name is Madelynn, and I am the founder of Abundantly Agape. It's taken 4 months to hammer out and fine tune what this was going to be. First it was a bakery, then a Bible painting business, then to home decor, photography, and now here we are. The Lord has guided, and is continuing to guide me in this journey. While I do photography in my local area, and still love painting Bibles, I feel a calling to show the world that every single soul is loved by God, and to show a real look into the walk of a Christian.
It is not easy, nor a stroll in the park. To admit your sins, deny your own nature, and be born again in the Spirit means you will be at constant war with your flesh and the world.
I am 23 years old, and am fast approaching my first year of marriage! I have 3 siblings ranging from 8 to 21 years old. I was raised in the church, and am very thankful that my family made that a priority. If not, then I am sure that it would have been much harder for me to find my way to Christ. I did not make my faith my own until I was a teenager, and even then I turned from God constantly. It was so easy to turn away when you knew all of the Bible stories, and had all the answers to every question, but still lived in the world. Thankfully it all finally clicked. Proverbs 22:6 was right after all, huh?
I went to a rather large public high school, and that environment definitely influenced me as I grew up. I always had a very hard time staying in the Word, and consistently praying. I forgot about God all too easily - and still do, quite frankly. However, earlier this year I had felt the Holy Spirit nudging and pulling at me, then I was suddenly out of work and had all this time on my hands. Conviction set in very quickly, and I repented after sifting my way back to the Lord. Urgency to speak to others about Christ has settled into my soul, and led me to form this mode of communication of my walk with Christ.
Whether you are a believer in Jesus Christ or not, you are welcome here. There is nothing I want more than to let everyone know of the love God has for us, and to help sound the alarm on your soul's state and Christ's return. I pray that this ministry helps you with your own walk, and guides you towards God's love.
Thanks so much for reading!
Madelynn
